PPL Groundschool

There are 7 subjects on which examinations are required with a pass mark of 75%. The subjects are:
  • Air Law
  • Human Performance
  • Meteorology (Weather)
  • Navigation
  • Principles of Flight
  • Engines & Instruments.
  • Flight Planning & Performance

As from 2 July 2007 the PPL candidates must do these examinations on-line at the CAA offices in Midrand or at CAA Accredited Test Centers.

Powered Flight offers ground schooling in any of the following ways:

  • At our facility at Wonderboom Airport, or
  • Our Virtual Classroom (Where we allow students to “attend” lectures from home, your office or anywhere else where you have access to a computer and an internet connection)
